We LOVE tea! As simple as that! And we are here to share this feeling with you!
Whether it is served on a sunny morning on the patio or while snuggling under a warm blanket on a snowy night, or anything in between; whether you hold a cup of tea with friends at the dinner table or around a campfire; whether you drink it at your office desk or in front of the TV, everywhere and anytime is a good time to enjoy this magnificent essence of nature.
At Liya, we believe that every moment is more pleasurable with the delightful taste and alluring aroma of tea. This belief encouraged us to supply the finest tea that has been sustainably grown, diligently processed and delicately packaged.
History
Our love for tea comes from four passionate generations, working in all sectors of the industry. They grew and maintained tea plants on scenery hillsides, hand-plucked the perfectly fresh tea buds and leaves, and tirelessly processed them to perfection. Most of the production steps used to be performed by hand, hence, a lot of effort and dedication were required to extract excellent taste and incredible aroma of the tea. Every step of the work was supervised by tea masters who have become local experts over the course of decades.
Innovation and improvement have greatly contributed to our success, One of our ancestors modified and upgraded some of equipment that were used to dry the hand rolled tea leaves.
Currently, with all new technologies and machinery, manufacturing has been significantly simplified; but nothing would replace the golden touch of farmers that pluck the right number of leaves to produce magnificent premium tea.
Sustainability
Our tea famers are undeniably passionate about their farms and what they grow on them. Each generation has passed this feeling to the next. At Liya, our mission is to keep the flame of this passion alive by appreciating the hardworking farmers and encourage their efforts to grow high quality tea leaves. We have significantly shortened the supply chain; While this would benefit the consumers with a reasonable price for a premium product, farmers would receive a fair share for their diligence.
Mother nature is helping us a lot to keep the growing sustainable, as the tea bushes are completely resistant to all local pests and there is zero need for any pesticide. In addition, due to great soil fertility and well maintaining of the farms, use of chemical fertilizer is barely required.
